The Lady Spartan basketball program will host it’s4th Annual Coaches vs. Cancer event this Friday night as they host Pendleton Heights.
The Coaches vs. Cancer program is a nationwide collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) that empowers basketball coaches, their teams, and local communities to make a difference in the fight against cancer. The program gives community leaders an opportunity to increase cancer awareness and promote healthy living through year-round awareness efforts, fundraising activities, and advocacy programs.
Members of the CHS and CMS Lady Spartan Basketball program, Cheerleaders and Spartanettes will be selling paper ribbons in honor of cancer survivors and victims in an effort to raise money throughout the week. Ribbons will be sold at the game by the CMS Basketball players and donations will be accepted. Please come to the Spartan Bowl Friday night to show your support of this event. The JV game will start at 6:00 and the Varsity game will follow.
