I hope you all have had an amazing summer thus far. I wanted to give an update on what the Lady Spartan Soccer team has been up to. This week starts my second full year as head coach of the Connersville Lady Spartans soccer team, and I am very excited for this upcoming season. The young women of this team have been working very hard this summer to build upon their skills and strengths to become a better team. They have even tried to learn and work on some new skills to improve our game as a whole. I am looking forward to see how we do in comparison to past seasons.
This summer, the ladies of the Connersville Spartans have worked out at the Soccer Complex as well as the high school weight room. We have worked on some basic skills all the way up to designed plays to hopefully help us have an organized game plan. We want to be prepared against some of our tougher opponents, and play with confidence on the field.
We have one more summer workout this Wednesday, July 22 at the Soccer Complex from 8-9:30am. The following week we will have conditioning workouts at the high school from 4-5pm. All are welcome to attend.
Tryouts for the upcoming school year will be held on August 3rd and 4th from 4-6pm at Connersville High School. These will also count as the lady’s first practices for the season. Our goal is to fill both a Varsity and JV roster, so inform your friends or anyone who is interested in trying out!
Good luck to all the Spartans on their upcoming seasons, and I can’t wait to see all that we accomplish. Enjoy the rest of your summer, and free fair week!
