The Lawrenceburg Tigers beat the Connersville Spartans Friday night 49-7. Early miscues by the Spartan offense did not allow them to take advantage of some great defense early in the contest. Those miscues along with a powerful Lawrenceburg running game allowed the visitors to take control of the contest in the 2nd quarter. Early interceptions by Jared Isaacs and Jacen Beckman along with strong play from linebackers Schaffer, Hensley, and McClain kept the Spartans close thru 1.5 quarters. However, solid offensive drives early for the Spartans were ended with turnovers and the Tigers were able to capitalize. Despite the way it looked on the scoreboard the Spartans were solid in many phases of the game and plan to build on the past couple of weeks losses heading into the final regular season game of the season. The Spartans will travel to Batesville this Friday for a 7:00 p.m. kickoff.
