The Connersville High School Swim and Dive team volunteered last night at Crosspointe Biker Church in Connersville, IN. Athletes helped to serve and package dinner for members of the church and community. This is the second year the team has participated in this event, and the athletes enjoyed spending quality time together out of the pool and helping their community. An event that was planned for 4 hours was finished in an hour and a half because of the speedy and efficient work of the athletes and other volunteers. The team enjoyed a meal together afterwards provided by Crosspointe. This is the first of many volunteer and community outreach opportunities the Spartan Swimmers and Divers will participate in this holiday season. On December 2nd, the team will help the Salvation Army with bell ringing at two locations in Connersville. Athletes will also be helping at the Christmas in the Park event, spending time with youth in the community.
On December 7th, the Spartans will be hosting the annual Pink Out Meet against the Centerville Bulldogs. The teams raise money for their respective Cancer Society’s through T-Shirt sales, and donations at the meet. If you are interested in purchasing a Pink Out Shirt, please contact Leah Fishman at CHS or your favorite Spartan Swimmer/Diver.
