Connersville and Julia Test Middle School were in a knock-down, drag-out and physical game in Richmond Wednesday night with the Spartans slaying the Tigers in the end by a score of 33-26. The Spartans got off to a quick start picking up a 11-3 lead after the first period. The Tigers came roaring back though with a big second quarter to cut the Spartan lead to just three at the half. Connersville pulled away a bit in the third quarter and held on in the final period to secure the hard-fought victory.
Leading the way for the Spartans was Keegan Hurley with 9 points followed by Zaine Bentley with 7.
The Spartans are now 4-2 on the season and travel to Union County on Thursday.
