The Connersville Spartans stayed in the game until the end, but could not come away with the win as they lose to the Franklin County WIldcats 7-6. Unearned runs were a problem with the Spartans Thursday as they allow 7 runs on seven hits. The Spartans had ten hits of their own, but were not able to string them together to defeat Franklin County.
Hunter Fasbinder started on the mound for the Spartans and allowed 4 runs in four innings. Logan Bean came in to finish the game allowing 3 hits late, in the bottom of the 6th, to put the Wildcats up for good. The Spartans were hot at the plate tonight recording 10 hits.
Peyton Rowland led the way with 3 hits. Logan Bean, Hunter Fasbinder, and Brody Cox had 2 hits a piece. Michael Powell had 1 hit. The leading RBI scorer of the night was Hunter Fasbinder with 3.
